Flying Flicker [yellow Shafted]

I see that most of the good photographers show their flying birds without any background,I usually have the bg included in the scene.Should I take them the same way I do still shots and go for bokeh or include their surroundings?All suggestions welcome as I'll be learning the rest of my life,THANKS.

    Nice shot. I think getting a BIF is a big deal, and then getting one in focus is even better! mwink.gif

    Flickers are not, in my experience, common enough or friendly enough to pose, so good job.

    I like the background here, and think most BIFs are shot with only open sky behind, hence the unobstructed background. If you can get closer, then great! Otherwise, there is nothing wrong with your shot as is.
