Man, you have been spending one heck of a lot of time tracking these
old wrecks down. You seem to be on a mission. :D A very good thing.

This one looks like it could have practically happened yesterday. Gives
me pause for thought. Like your other pictures have. Loved the peeling
paint and color or lack thereof found in those works.

What a find thumb.gif Look at all that stuff still in the cupboards and on the counter. Even a teapot. At least they closed the curtains before they left or did you close them?

Thank you kindly, DaddyO. Yes, this house was certainly quite the find. Only problem was the sheer amount of personal items that we encountered, so many of them that the place was actually too cluttered for photography. Plus, the floors had caved in in every room, so it was treacherous to shoot there.

Haha, yes... but they did not close all the windows... See below :)

Is that mirror outside? These two photos turned out really good. I really like the reflection in the mirror. As for the fan...looks like it needs some work :D

No, that's inside! Lol... that collapsed roof makes it difficult to read the scene, doesn't it!

    Thanks again, Mary!

Totally confused me. I sat and just kept looking at it trying to figure it out :D

    Howdy Federico,

I really like those last two images, the first just didn't capture my attention that much, but the perspective and all the details really is wonderfully
    done.
    Take care,

Hi Craig -- yes, I agree. The one photo I really like is #3... but that image -- unlike #1 -- doesn't show the mess that the house was :) To my surprise, #1 has received some interest on my Flickr, while #3 seems to have been uninteresting to visitors. Oh well...

    Thanks for your comments!

Abandoned homes with personal belongings still in them creep me out for some reason and I think you captured this eery, creepy feeling very well with #3.

Do you ever learn the stories that go along with these scenes?

You find the coolest places. Was there any inclinations as to what happened to the roof of the house? It doesn't seem like it has been abandoned for to long. Maybe the roof caving in is the REASON they left.

The third pic with the fan is my favorite. clap.gif

Thank you, John. No, Very rarely do we find someone near these places who could tell us what happened to the dwellers. We have to try to figure it out by looking at the objects or other hints that sometimes are left behind...

Thank you, KerrBear. We really don't know what happened to the roof, but someone suggested to me that the weight of the snow is what made it cave in. The hypothesis made a lot of sense, since there were no signs of natural violence (e.g., a tree falling or something). If snow is what caused the accident, then I suppose it happened after the dwellers left.
