I love these shots from NYC and MikePenn's city shots. You people who live in large urban cities have no idea how lucky you are in having access to that daily parade of photographable subjects.

Hi Tony,
No I know what you mean--I have a love/hate relationship with my city, but it never fails to entertain me and I love getting out there with my camera.
These shots as well as my last series (Chess series) that I posted yesterday, were all shot during my lunch hour. It's some of the only time I have to myself to shoot street shots, and so I try to take advantage of it.
For me 3 for sure. Great composition, how the girl is framed by the sitting man in the front and the legs on the left.
Thanks:)
This was an odd scene--the little girl was oddly dressed and almost unkempt--the man was actually an Asian woman who had a suitcase with her, you can barely see it behind her. I had a sense they were running away--they made me uneasy. The little girl never smiled but looked suspiciously at me when she saw me point my camera at her. She seemed very vulnerable. I took a few shots, but this one was the best, comp wise and also the look on the little girls face and the position of her little hands.

Glad you like it--the girl with the Afro just really made the shot for me.

Disappointed with AF of Tamron 28-75 2.8, me less happy.

Sam I get what you are saying--it's not for everyone.
Sometimes I love the energy it gives and wouldn't want to be anywhere else and sometimes it makes me miss Texas.

Thanks B.D.
I like it myself.
