I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by. Douglas Adams

My bird book says yes to most Grosbeaks are in the family Cardinalidae. But that one is in the Finch Family, Fringilline. Where are you located?
    Very nice shot

I don't know the answer to your question either, Deb. But, I sure do like your shot! Aren't they stunning birds? There are usually one or two that show up at my feeders in the winter for a day or two but that's it. Some day, I'm going to get a pic of one!

Thanks for the info,Chris i'm in north central Alberta [I filled in that location info many times but it wont show up]. I live on a migration route so spring and fall are good for me,but we really have to put in some effort to find color up here,Not much for trees[all prairie around] so swamp sitting is the way to gorolleyes1.gifThanks Gerry and standstill,We don't get them to often but you can't miss them when they fly by.
