    Ira I am positive your bitterns down south are as elusive as ours way up here in the north. Great job to get a photo never mind one where it's actually fishing.FANTASTIC WORK.

    Yes indeed, deb, the Least Bittern here in Florida are very shy. You usually see them running back into the reeds as you are approching their location. If, however, you wait long enough, they will eventually work their way back out in the open allowing you to photograph their activities. That wait can be long and boring, but worth the effort. :ivar
