Suddenly there was Color

The ragged end of winter isn't known for color so you really have to look for it. This beaver pond is off the trail and some bush-whacking is required. It was worth it.
Just a last scrim of ice still lingers in the shade...had to walk out on semi-frozen marsh grass to get it, but I think it just makes the shot.
The reflections were killer, too. Very calm. I hung around waiting for a beaver to show up, but they were busy elsewhere...or sleeping or whatever beavers do.
Comments welcome. Thanks for checking it out.

Yeah, that teeny bit of leftover ice just makes the whole thing. the shots I have without it don't work nearly so well.
