This youngster showed up in the yard today. My wife wasn't too happy that he was eating the new buds on the plants but I like the four legged visitors.

How far away were you? Did you shoot from inside the house or sneak outside?

A nice, sharp image, Mark. Well done by both you and the deer! It looks like he's showing you his best side profile! Is that a little button starting to pop on his head?
I've had a young deer following me around in my yard the last few days thinking I'm his meal ticket!

I was not far at all, about 30 to 40 feet. I walked outside with my 200 mm lens hoping to get some shots of birds. I didn't notice this guy until I was in the yard. He saw me and came even closer. I have some great eyeball shots

Yes, looks like he will be getting his horns this year. I think he's only a yearling. He still doesn't look full grown.
