I think I'll have a few more good shooting days later this week. Reshoots are possible.

I know #1 is green enough. Is it good?

Are the others green enough?

TIA for all comments.

knot and grass are my favorites. wonderful shots!!!

i might crop grass where the dock or whatever ends... i didn't realize until i took a second look that there was more to the frame (where the water is). i realized you'd clip a little of the blades off, but i think they might already be a little visually lost just based on their surroundings....?

I really liked #2 and #3. I like the fact that the green is what pops in these pictures. If #3 is used, I'd place the knot a little more off-center...but that's just me. Well done!

    Thanks, Kinkajou and StueveShots!

I cropped as suggested on Grass. Does it work better?

I also thought maybe rotating Knot might be better.
    #3a

Then I cropped a bit more to get the knot a bit off center.

Then I found a couple more options

#7 Retired (I don't know if there is enough green here)

    #8 Fiddlehead

I like the darker tones in the top mossy knot. Also, I prefer the shot flipped to portrait since it looks more natural that way.

I think "Light 'em Up" is a stronger image.

All gorgeous. But #2/"Docked" should be printed and hanging on your wall. NICE!

Just to add to your confusion on which to pick.

    I like "Docked" myself.

Out of the last two "knots" I like the darker one better.

Way to get out there and shoot clap.gif . You have some very nice images.

I liked the way you experimented with the Knot...I prefer 3b, but I do agree that the darker tones should be emphasized. Maybe a very slight gradient to soften the bright spots in the bark (like a polarizer on water).

Having said that, I'm more convinced that #2 Docked is my favorite. I really like that shot!

Of your new shots, I really like #8 Fiddleheads.

Well done! You've gotten so many nice shots. I'm still hoping to get back out there and find some green!

Thanks, Dave! I like the darker tones, too. All I did was crop, so it was simply a matter of cropping out the darker tones and leaving the lighter ones.

How about this one - a slightly different crop?

Thanks, Liz! This theme is inspiring me! I have some good shooting weather coming up on Saturday, so I may get a few more before the end of this challenge. I don't know which I will pick. headscratch.gif

Thanks, StueveShots! We have had a real mild, wet winter, so there is lots of green in the Emerald City! Good luck finding more green before Sunday. It doesn't just have to be the color green. There is unripe, inexperienced, uncured (wood), and unwell. But green is so pretty, I think we will see a lot of it in the gallery.

Do you mean you have been thinking of knot? I tried a slightly different crop to make it a little less centered. Do you think this is an improvement? I think this orientation is a little less comfortable than the other.

So, I couldn't help myself and went and took a few more yesterday. The light was a bit challenging, so some of them will require reshoots.

These 2 might fit. Are either of these better than the others - more on theme?
