Seemed to be spider day yesterday in the garden.

How do you get them to stay on one place?

The only really tricky ones in this group are the wolf spiders that will bolt if you disturb them so you have to approach them very slowly.
Crab spiders are easier and will often start to show aggressive displays as you approach them (they sit up and threaten you with their legs). The jumping spiders as long as you move slowly are rather inquisitive and you can actually round them up a bit by moving a finger slowly around them- they will turn and track it. The last spider was so tiny it took absolutely no notice of what I was doing.

Not sure if it's because they have only just started coming out but agree the wolfies are very twitchy at the moment.
