Canon 180mm F3.5 Macro lens

Hi All :
Any one have this lens and some pics to gowith it..friend is selling his 180mm i hear alot of good things about this lens ..I have the Canon 100 macro IS USM2.8. i hear its a tele which sounds awefully good

    These were done with the 180. Having almost 10" between the front of the lens and a macro subject is really useful. Here are some:

    Of course it is big and heavy.

    Over in "House of Canon" someone was offering one for sale recently.

    I picked up the 180 Canon 3.5 i had the canon 100 is usm and found something was not right with that lens everytime i would auto focus it would just stop took the shot and everything was blurred...i returned it and got the 180 i really dont use the IS..having said that..i can truly say this feels like you are holding a true lens..very sharp all round..
