Great expression in #2. Grandma doesn't look quite as happy, but I can relate to that. Very nice. thumb.gif

Thanks, Richard. I'm not sure if Grandma was unhappy, or that's just what she looks like.

clap.gif #1 is pretty awesome--I really like the reflection of the buildings on the window.
i also like both their expressions--the child's intense cross eyed look and grandma's look.

    #2 is a beautiful portrait.

Thanks, Liz - The buildings, btw, are part of Harvard....

Wow, I haven't been here in a while and this is what I find :wow.

#1 To me the grandma (?) looks like she is in thought. Something serious, or maybe just important.

My first impression on #2 was early 20th Century photographs of children. Reminded me of newsies photos that I've seen online at the Library of Congress. Though the context is vastly different, but it has that feel. Maybe just the child's complexion and eye colour.

These are both really nice. Reflections can be very interesting because you end up with 3 worlds, inside, outside, and reflected. That gives lots of room for interesting juxtaposition, as here.

I've shot my share of these, but these two have a nice intimacy, something that reflection shots often miss, perhaps because the window also acts as a barrier.
    If not now, when?

Oh, and how do you know this is "grandma?" Drink your own kool aid, B.D.

Thanks - I think that they may work because, despite the very strong reflection, the subjects almost look at though what we see in the reflection is behind them, rather than obscuring them. And for that I have to credit physics I don't begin to understand, rather than some skill of mine. My skill was limited to making sure that I wasn't reflected. rolleyes1.gif

I don't - But if it's Mom, she deserves a National Enquirer cover. rolleyes1.gifrolleyes1.gif She could well be
"the nanny." Who knows. Who cares? But as everyone here seems fixated on images having titles, I provided one. I would have been just as happy to post the image without a title, or...whatever.

Yup - Breakfast! This was in a J.P. Licks, where I had gone with a colleague to get a cappuccino around 9:30 a.m. on a weekday! rolleyes1.gif
