- GigaPan EPIC: $349.00USD, for P&S and light digicams.
- EPIC 100: $449.00, for larger digicams and small dSLRs with lightweight lenses, extra features.
- EPIC Pro: $895.00, camera/lens combinations to 10lbs, advanced features, available April 2010.

Basically it's a robotic control platform with the primary goal of automated panoramic photography. The latest and more expensive versions have a very nice feature set and allows advanced control of the camera to allow things like multiple exposures at the same elevation and pan, and allow the camera to bracket, for instance.

However, you'd hit SmugMug's 24 MB limit with a pretty small one...

Granted, SmugMug is not set up for panoramic display in general. I would probably use SmugMug to provide a "teaser" image and then use the GigaPanSM embedding to supply the full resolution image and display. (GigaPan embedding would be easiest on the GigaPan site or on a generic web page.)

I'll post the links on here when I upload the panos to Gigapan.org, as I expect they'll be quite interesting. I'll be using my D90, and either my 70-200 f/2.8 or my 55-200 f4-f/5.6 depending on what the camera can handle. I don't know if I will really need the weight of the 70-200 though, since I wouldn't want to shoot a panorama at f/2.8!
