Greetings,
New to Digital Grin but a long time Smugmug user.
Made my first trip to Venice during Carnival 2010 and what a wild scene it was! Thousands of cameras and people. Everyday a new adventure in this magical city.

Dark, sexy, mysterious... It's so Venice !
I'm curious about your models. Are they people you just met on the street ? Do they hire you to make a portrait of them ? Do you hire them to be your models ? How does it work exactly ?

Was wondering the same thing as Niepce is above.

The "Masks" attend Carnival to show off their creative talents. Many talented people from Germany and France travel to Venice at this time of the year. The only cost is that the Masks appreciate photos of their outfits from the photographers. It is a very crowded event and expensive time to visit Venice. Hundreds of pros and the public clicking away everywhere. The background of Venice makes this a very special location to shoot.
