This thing is HUGE - It takes up a foot-print of 20,000 sg ft and is made from granite. The statue on top is gold and looks life-sized, when viewed from ground level (it's huge too).

I have to ask, how did you get the stars to come out so clearly it adds a neat effect to the picture.
That's not stars you're lookin' at.... It's NOISE!
I processed both images in a way that would both embrace AND magnify it.
Thanks for your comments.

Thanks, Qarik.
I too prefer the 1st one and hear what you're saying - I did try cropping 'your way' when editing this and to be frank, it looked like a horse falling over it's front legs while on a full gallop (Read; ass over tea kettle/a HUGE disaster that was going to PLOW into the earth)... Scary shtuff.
I don't have access to the EXIF right now but these were shot pretty wide, somewhere around 17-19 mil. With anything else, I couldn't get a full view of the building without accepting clutter in the foreground; I would have to move across the street that had cars parked on it (even for the night-time shot).
#1 was also shot in the morning with me facing west (sun over my left shoulder). I'll try for an evening shot to see if I can't get a decent perspective with a 35 mil, from the other side of the building.
Thanks again for your comments.
I like what you have in both shots. Interesting effect using the noise to your advantage.

Thanks, hawk.
Nope, didn't even try a distortion correction. When I got it here, I thought it looked as if the building was open and willing, to take on whatever the darkened sky could deliver ; )
It's still got a tiny tilt but if I go more, the long verticle window on the front starts falling away and IMO, really confused the crap out of the image.
Very cool!
Thanks ; )
