Morning all,
I went to the St. Patrick's Day parade yesterday and had to go through Grand Central Station. I was off on a side tunnel and liked the way it looked.

I was proud because I was trying like hell to keep the image level (it was handheld) usually my shots are very off-kilter and this one is only slightly off kilter :rofl .

C&C always appreciated.

Only slightly off kilter. Pretty funny. :D I can hardly tell it is.
Like the grain for this shot. Seems just the right amount
    for pushing it.

    Hello DaddyO,
I only noticed it was off by looking at the top ledge, I can see it's a teeny tiny bit off--but I almost had it:) I don't have a tool for straightening, so I'm working hard on getting it straight SOOC.

I shot this using my B&W grainy setting, hence the grain, and then converted it to lighten it up.

    Thanks for commenting:)

I don't know what you are planning to add in image editing software, but any version of
Adobe Elements has image straightening. You draw a line and the image is rotated so that
line is either horizontal or vertical. Even an older version of Elements - which can be purchased
on eBay for $25 or so - has this feature.

As to this particular image, I would prefer to see the image straightened so that top line
is absolutely horizontal or to see the image rotated so that line is about 30 degrees off horizontal.
In other words, either be straight or be dramatically off. A slight problem is noticeable as a flaw,
but an exaggerated problem is a enhancement.

    Great shot, though.

    Getting LR.
So I will be able to straighten all my images then--I have many that need it. Can't wait to play with it:)

    Glad you like the shot.

I think the elegance shines through regardless of the slight rotation and lens distortion. It's still a lovely shot. thumb.gif

Really like this one Liz -- like the treatment you chose.

As for a straight photo SOOC -- only way I could get one is if someone else held my camera :D

I think if I hadn't of cropped (in the camera) right at the top ledge, it would have been less obviousne_nau.gif . That's the thing with archticture, all those lines!!!

I'm glad you liked the processing.

    Thank you.

oh Mary you are so funny.
I get that way too--if I start holding it still for too long I can almost start to feel my teeth chattering.

    Thanks you Mary Kim.

    Well thank you Azzaro:)

I tried to really work the original because it was so dark. Glad this works!
Shot at ISO1000! I usually don't shoot that high.
