Keywords: Plurals?

I figured I'd better start putting in keywords before I get too many photos uploaded.

Before SmugMug, I was using Gallery2. I discovered that if I entered plural keywords (such as cars, dogs, etc.), searching on either the singular or the plural would return correct results. So if the keyword was "dogs" a search of either "dog" or "dogs" would return the correct photos. So I made it a habit to use plural keywords.

But here at SmugMug, it appears that I'm going to have to enter BOTH, the singular keyword and the plural, if I want it to return results for either one. dog dogs car cars ...

Because if I use only the keyword "dog" and someone searches for "dogs" it won't find anything. And vice-versa: if I use the keyword "dogs" but someone searches for "dog" they won't find anything.

Is this pretty much correct?

Also, the search function here seems to be really REALLY slow. Searching in a single gallery with fewer than 10 photos takes a long time (30 seconds or longer)! Is this normal?
