Maybe bring more color into the BG. As it is, she kind of looks pasted into the scene.

I like this kind of people picture, but I dont' like the black & white/pasted on look. I'd be interested in seeing the picture in its real color, cropped so that the woman dominates the picture, with the black pole at the top removed.

It's been fun seeing all the different "Greens" people have been coming up with.

Nice photo but the colours are so bright for me they ruin the effect. is there a fuill color photo somewhere we can see the difference?

Sorry for the late reply! I've been swamped with school this week I'm just glad its over. I was very surprised to see this photo was chosen among so many other entries.

The reason I chose this photo was because during the parade this woman and a group of other parents were walking and they were the happiest ones I saw in the midst of all the other people, I thought it was uplifting.

I also reduced the background color in order to emphasize the color of her clothes because the original seemed too noisy for my taste. I wanted her to pop-out of the image from the rest and I thought this was the best way to do so.

Anyway, I'm including the original photo here for you guys to see.
I hope I made the right choice...
