Tried to push the limit to get the "rust fix" but could only get myself to go this far :rofl

    Hi Don --

Wish I could bring on some more, but I don't know if I have anymore. Haven't really taken a good look at all my photos.

Glad it was "far enough" :D Amazing what one can find in a junk yard.

Thanks for your nice comments -- I feel I might be able to keep up with the "boys" rolleyes1.gif

    Hi Craig --

Glad you liked the tones and colors. When I was editing it I just didn't know where that "line" was to stop or not.

Thanks for taking a look and your comments :D

Well, Mary, this shot had me diving for the antidote to rust poisoning. I'd say you hit the sweet spot here. As a member of the Rust Junkie hierarchy, I bestow upon you full membership into our little club.

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

Really like this piece Mary. thumb.gif

Your rust is positively on fire. But not overly done I think.
The left side really gives me a sense of heat. Like its leading to a very high heat kiln.
So for me its easy to take the leaf spring set out of context and place them doing something else.
Like pouring liquid metal into molds.

Nice place to leave the PP at. :D I'd have stopped in about that
neighborhood myself and be glad for it. Michael

    Hi DaddyO

I had to ask my husband what the heck these things were. To me they were just metal with rust rolleyes1.gif Had never heard of leaf springs before.

Glad I found the magic spot to stop with this since I wasn't sure how far a rust junkie likes their rust looking.

Thanks for the comments DaddyO -- its nice when someone can see a story in one's photo.

Isn't that the ever-present dilemma? rolleyes1.gif I think that you did just fine and the resulting image is a cracker. Now let's see if the "boys" can keep up with you :)

Think it depends on the rust junky as to how much is just right. But also the shot itself will help tell you how much, I think, when your working with it. At least thats sorta how it works for me.

So when you got the shot were you satisfying your inner love for
all things rusty or just to figure out if you might actually get to be
    fond of rusty things? :D:D:D

    Hi :D

It is a dilemma trying to decide when enough is enough. Probably depends on each individuals perspective.

Glad you liked it ... certainly is different then what I usually do :D

Thanks for the nice comment :D

No....not satisfying my inner love for all things rusty rolleyes1.gif

I came upon a small junkyard of old vehicles. Not someplace I usually venture into. Took a few photos and saw this subject to photograph. Always wanted to know if I could "push" a rust photo like I've seen posted here on dgrin.

    I'm thinking I did it wings.gif
