These are the first wildflowers to bloom every year. A search online and in books hasn't resulted in an ID, but I suspect they're a variety of chickweed. Each stem is 1-1/2 inches high and the flowers are 1/4" or less in width. Looking at them with the naked eye, I thought they had many white petals, now I see they have 4 bisected petals.
Anyway...I'm honing my macro skills in the backyard. Square crop & B&W conversion done in Lightroom, tweaked levels to bring out the stem a bit more and that's pretty much it. Enjoy.

Oh and I forgot to include that this was shot on my E-30 with my manual Olympus 90mm macro lens and a 25mm extension tube.
