I'm assuming from your New Orleans post, that these were taken there as well.
It's even more sad and pathetic that I know down to within a few feet of where you were standing to score that last one... the red bokeh just barely reads "JAX" doesn't it?
New Orleans "photo field trips" almost always get great shots for me, the people, the culture, the atmosphere, all of it.
Please tell me you stopped for some beignets at Cafe Du Monde
You are correct, the photo was taken on decatur street, a couple stores away from central grocery
I moved from Texas to Kenner, Louisiana last year due to a job offer (I was a fresh graduate). And when I finally have the money to afford my hobby, I purchased a used 50D and a 17-55mm F2.8.. I am glad my job has brought me to this city.. This place has a great history, rich food & music culture, and they sure know how to party..
We're an hour north in Baton Rouge - and quite frequently my husband gets the cravings for beignets and will drive the 2+ hr round trip to go get them.
There's a few NOLA shots in my flickr if you wanna go digging, you should recognize most of it.
i like #1 best too but the lights behind are so bright they distract me after I have looked at the man, then the woman. Have u tried burning them down a bit?
