Gnat on grass seed

It's a window gnat, or a midge - various names but it's one or the other for sure!

Either way, it is definitely sat on a seed-head clump on last years ornamental grass that is still in the garden. Don't know whether I was meant to cut the plant back at any time - I'm not that good at gardening - well, proper gardening anyway.

Still, it makes a perfect foil for the gnat at least.

C&C as always encouraged.
