Sometimes I fly with Ryanair. I have always wondered if it could be possibile to locate the photo taken en flight on Google Maps. I have searched on the Internet and talked to people in the business, and finally I got some hints. It seems that there is a narrow, 10 kilometers corridor airplanes have to follow. The route between two airport can change depending on air traffic and the weather.
Anyway, I was able to trace this photos describing my journey from Italy to London.

This is Saint Disdille au lac Léman, in Switzerland; I have recongized it on google maps. Please note that these photos where taken behind the thick glass of the airplane.

This is Charles de Gaulle airport, near Paris. I thought that it might be an airport, but I had to check a few french airports before finding the right one.

This is lac d'emosson. This lake was identified by a reader of the dpreview forum.

I hope that more people will share their Ryanair or in-flight photos, and that we will be able to track the most important airways on google maps.

I will be back with more photos as soon as I have time to edit them.
