First time posting, long time lurking and learning from other posters.

Shooting in these gyms is always a challenge, from light, to distance & to bad timing. I have been getting better but am still learning alot. My 2.8 70-200mm is ok, and I have been having some fun with my 1.8 50mm, but I would love to try a 105mm or 135mm 2.0 piece of glass.

Oh what I wouldn't give to be in a bright evenly lit gym and to have floor access.

Your C&C is welcome.

I can completely commiserate about the lighting. Tough to work through. But, I think you've done quite well in coping with it.

What I did notice is that quite a few seem really out of focus. My exif viewer isn't working so I don't know what settings you were using?

Hi, I'm totally new also and struggling with poorly lit gyms also. It is hard and there is so much to learn. What kind of camera do you have? I'm always interested in the settings also especially the auto focus settings.

Santa was good this year and we are now shooting with a Nikon D300s. Nice step up from the D80. Still learning my way around it.
