I figure I'd do something I don't think I've ever done before; be the first to ask for feedback on a new challenge. Reshoot is not possible, but the concept hopefully is. That is if I'm not on the road too much.

Thoughts?

    NICELY DONE!!
I really like your subject matter these past few Challenges.
This is wonderfully exposed and composed and allows me to "see" the story behind the image. I love the slight tear in the jacket, reinforcing a tough day. Excellent in my opinion.

I like the shot too. I would boost the saturation just a tiny tiny bit, and try to find a way to separate the subject out more from the other two figures behind him. Obviously, that's hard to do (and was a suggestion that someone made for me for the last challenge), but I think it would help.

When I received that critique, I duplicated the base image layer then added a layer mask to that duplicate and blurred the area behind the primary subject a bit. After that, I figured out the right opacity for that second layer and crossed my fingers :) So, if you have the time, it might be worth a try.

It is a great shot with a lot of potential. Nicely done (as usual :D )!

Great image! Myself, I'd go for desaturated colours to give it a bit of a gritty 'end of shift' look. Perhaps splitting colours towards a 'rusty' reddish tone?
Street & Portrait because of the people. Landscape because it's pretty.
Disappointed with AF of Tamron 28-75 2.8, me less happy.

For me personlly, I think the color is fine. Very editorial, NG/Getty in it's nature, which I absolutely love. This is the one to beat in my opinion.
There are two things (and being new to the challenges, I hope to express these are personal preferences, because I'm a hack and would never suggest that my opinion is anything more than that...an opinion :o) ). The brightness levels in his pants and that of the 'wrinkled' shirt. His pants have gone black with no definition. I might try to bring just a hint of detail back if possible, maybe try to define the edges. However, the info may not be there.
**I've changed my mind on the wrinkled shirt. I was going to say that it steals attention, BUT, it does! Which is great. I found that my eye goes right to that bright shirt, then explores the frame...and reveals your subject. POW! Nicely done Jennifer!!!
