Yeah, it seems to be a really long time, but isn't that the norm? I better go read the sticky to find out what is specified there...
Oh wait - that's the challenges in Weddings and People. Doh!
Hear ye! Hear ye! This Challenge is no longer going to be running for a full month! This Mini-Challenge will instead conclude on Midnight on Sunday, April 4!!!
I rather like this theme, given that maybe I have a little bit of a height advantage (not many times in my life I can say that! ). So many incredible entries in this one. Just a few humble offerings to throw into the mix:
This was taken while sprawling in the grass watching my horse enjoy a snack.
Grazing on a hazy summer day
This, on the other hand, was taken as flood waters receded from my pasture fence (fence is 4' high) - while lying on water-covered ice. I couldn't BELIEVE that a chunk of ice over 10' long and about 8' wide and more than 2' high was balanced in a skinny 2 x 4" fence rail - and the rail hadn't broken yet.
No It was from BC to Bellingham, but took two weeks. It was a combined nation celebration.
Was this taken from the 2007 Canoe Journey? If so, I think it was the first Potlatch the Lummi Tribe held since 1937... it was a tremendous event for the nation! Glad you could witness and share it!

Yes, 2007 Lummi host. So many Canoes, so many Nations, And the Lummi Nation hosts were spectacular. My friends from the Ho Nation were presenters/guest dancers and paddled from the south.

Just out of curiosity, are either of you Native? I ask because I am and am interested in networking with other Native photographers.
Close Call
this is the only one I have that might remotely qualify...it's what you get while lying on your stomach and having someone hit a golf ball 12 inches in front of your lens. I'll title it "Close Call"
Canon 7D and some stuff that sticks on the end of it.
Hi Kinkajou,
Just wanted to say thanks for this round--It pushed me to try a shot I've been wanting to do with my daughter. Didn't get it done on time to enter the mini--but I got the shot I wanted. Now I just have to rework several nits.

I am not. Just raised in the Northwest and the lifestyle/friends/and common ground of the local Nations are prevalent (Powerful).
Sorry Kara, am not Native, but have worked and continue to work with various tribes in the past decade.
