Saw this guy after breakfast he got pretty close to me before retreating to the nearest tree.

I would love your comments. This is my second time using my new 70-300 lens.

    2ND Time only ,boy are you going to have fun this spring. Your shots are good,clear. I don't know If you realize they are centered though and this is a little problem.crop them using rule of thirds or anything to get them out of current position.Then re-post them and see if your comments change. Flickers are a great bird to photograph though so you are lucky to have some nice birds to follow around. HAVE FUN.thumb.gif

    Thanks I actually cropped them that way. I'll fix them later this evening.

    He is a beautiful bird with lots of colour. What 70-300mm were you using? Canon or Nikon? The shots are very clear and you will certainly appreciate the need for longer reach once your taste for bird photography matures. :cool

    I've never seen one of these, you are very lucky to have caught him.
