Hi guys, I'm new here to dgrin, and new to smugmug, but I've been using photoshop forever, and experimenting with HDR for a few years. After looking around a bit, I felt like I should join up! I'm looking to get some feedback on my photos. Here are two I took about a week ago after some heavy rainfall in the area. I went out for sunset, even though it didn't do me a lot of good!

I definitely prefer the first image, and I have a love/hate with the second one. Maybe it's all the grass from the field poking through, I don't know.

And I don't know if I even have to say it to this group, but click through on these pictures and view the larger sizes, they're worth the 'effort' :)

Thanks!

WOW, I really like these, although I'd pick the first one if I had to pick a favorite. They'd be even better if there was a more interesting sky, but you work with what you get, right? You did a great job with these! Please keep posting, I'd really like to see more of your stuff.

CLAMROLL, Great name. I don't know why you have a love/hate with #2 because it is my clear favorite FANTASTIC. I understand what you mean about the grass poking through it would probably be even better with just a smidge less, maybe another visit when the water rises an inch would do but no matter pokies or not I love it.clap.gifclap
