I've been waiting for the right lighting to do some long exposures in order to capture the eddies and whrilpools in this stream. Particularly at this little waterfall where the vortex is the most pronounced. That day came on Sunday -

The white streaks are bubbles made by the water's agitation. I put the tripod into contortions so I could include that little Charlie Brown tree (the bank sloped up behind me). It just had to be in here, not only for compositional balance, but because it's so darn cute.

Excellent shot. May I share one thought: would the image be stronger if the forest above would be darker, perhaps by adding a grad ND filter, just a stop or so?
Street & Portrait because of the people. Landscape because it's pretty.
Disappointed with AF of Tamron 28-75 2.8, me less happy.

hey Fat Zebra, that's an interesting idea and one I can certainly try out.

and yeah, kdog, a fall shot is definitely on my calendar...especially after a gentle rain when the leaves are at their most brilliant.

If you shot that raw, you could do the same thing using the ACR gradient tool.

That is so incredible I give it 3 wows on the wow scale, if there is one. Pop it onto a large woodden board and sell it for people's kitchens. I wood buy one (pun intended). clap.gifclapclap.gif
