Just looking for some feedback: lighting/posing, PS technique, etc. Thanks, Jessica

Oooooh... I love #3! I'm generally not a fan of textures, but this seems to work! clap.gif

#1 is a good composition and seems to work well
#2 is a less-exciting composition/pose... If I were going to shoot that pose, I might do a horizontal shot with him standing in the right 1/3 of the frame. I'm totally jealous of your fall-colored leaves, btw. We have none of that here in Florida!

I can't really tell because I'm not on the best monitor right now, but #1 and #2 look a little too saturated and contrast-y to me. I think #3 is the same, but it works really well for this shot because of what's going on inside the frame. Again, using a less-than-spectacular monitor here, so best to wait and see what others say.

That's funny-I actually shot it that way and changed it to put on here. So here's the original. P.S. This shot was for his mom. :)

#1 is not really doing much for me but 2 and 3 are great. The backgrounds are very strong but they don't detract imo.

    Nice job…

…but I dunno about the b/g in the original version (your 2nd posting) - is that real or do I see horizontal creases in the b/g? eek7.gif

…nice anyway, and the lighting is good! (…he doesn't look all that happy though… eek7.gif )

    I like #2 and #3 (…are his hands cold in #3? rolleyes1.gif )

    Thanks for sharing!

I vote for #2, it looks the most natural and best lit. clap.gif

I like your angle in 1 and the horizontal crop for 2.
That background looks sweet in the horizontal version.

No 3 is the strongest of the group. Love it alot. Might be my laptop but your exposure on the faces seems to be overexposed?

Thank you, it was a cold day and he was trying to get his hands warm...I missed the shot, so I had him do it again. It could be overexposed...I was using flash that day...
