I'm a bit confused. The title is "The Front Man", but the subject seems to be a woman...albeit a woman with a rather masculine jaw line. Any idea why a piece of the sign is cut out? What is the scam?

Tony. Maybe I'm confused too. If so I'm toast.

The scam is I am being asked to believe what is laid out for me to see
and of course cough up a few bucks. I don't believe for a second. Its
way too perfect a "set" in just about every regard.
If what I see is real, then of course there is no scam and I am seriously
mistaken and should be publicly spanked for my ignorance and total
lack of sensitivity. If this truly is a woman and not a man who has suffered
misfortune, as displayed, then I'll take those lashes.

The sign is heavy sheet rock. The cut out is wrong dimension for a wall
outlet, so I suspect its there for ease in toting around. I can't imagine its
there for me to slip my money through. At no time have I ever seen
a piece of sheet rock used for this tasked. And notice just where that
opening is cut. Any place nearer the edges and your going to get a
break and its make a new sign time. The attention to detail for this
act just goes on and on.

Perhaps I am just one so completely jaded, that this act has fake written all over it.
If I wake up in hell come morning I'll know where I screwed up. :D

I'm not really in a position to attempt to discern if there's a scam going on. Not knowing what the temperature was, I don't know if that completely covered-up look was something to be expected or not.

If the person is truly wheelchair-bound, the drywall section may have been the only thing he/she could get their hands on. It could have been just handy. The freeway exit ramp beggars here seem to prefer torn sections of cardboard boxes for their signage.

What I can't figure out is whether that's a man or a woman. Not that it makes a difference other than the title of the thread.

Tony. I'm impressed at the level of fairness you are willing to bring to
    the table. Kudos. :D

On title I used "Front Man" because I have never heard "Front Woman"
used to mean the same thing. This person is not working this game alone.
But of course we can't see that in this picture. Given that I
guess I should have gone with "The Panhandler" or "The Chameleon".

*"Ramp Beggars" or "Ramp Beggar" begs to have a picture for it Tony.* :D
