I got to get out and shooting again!!!!!!!! I am so tired of staying home and recuperating. I'm about ready to declare myself healed and go out shooting again.

In the meantime here are a few pre-surgery pics from the wetlands.

The wetlands are right next to a cattle ranch

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Good to hear you're doing better after surgery. I think these pictures are beautiful. I like the cattle egrets. The Heron is really great as well. I hope you soon feel better and get out there and share some more of your great work. Take Care!!

    Cows too?
Gee Harry, you are full of wonders!

yeah, that recuperating is a total bummer... but just think of all the post processing time you have now :):

Love the cows -- I remember the first time I saw cows in Florida under palm trees, I just found it very amusing, being a "city" girl! After all, cows should be running like mad, kicking up dust on a wild stampede in the middle of the prairie or something -- like dry and dusty -- not snoozing under a palm tree!

You certainly picked a varied place to live. Shuttle launches, tame birds to pose for you, warmer climate, dramatic hurricanes and cattle ranches!

Glad to hear the recovery is going fine! :):

    Hey Dee,

Great hearing from ya. clap.gif I've been ignoring those cows, who surround the wetlands, for over a year so i figured I owed them a couple of shots. :D

I'm just about healed up and may try to do some shooting tomorrow.

Thans Ben. The one good thing about my D2h having to go in for service was that I had had to use my D100 again. I had just about frgot how good that camera is.

    Hiya Ann,

I'm not rushing the recovery. I was thinking about going out this morning but decided to wait another day or so. Thanks for the kind offer of those photos to process but being a man who plans ahead I went out and shoot my butt of right before the surgery and I have a nice backlog of my own shots to process during this down period. :D

    Hey Jeff,

I really like the detail in the last shot. I thought I would be miserable going back to the D100 but I got some excellent captures with it.
