My first attempt at interval shooting from out latest snowstorm the other day. Can't wait to try more! That's pretty cool, I'm guessing you just set the camera on a tripod and every so often when by and pressed the shutter release.

What did you use to make the movie effect?

great idea to do this with snowfall. Would like to see more shots taken for a smoother effect.

    Great job

I hope your not walking by and hitting the shutter. they make little remotes for that.

Thanks ya'll. Yep, set it up on a tripod and used the interval timer for shooting. It took a snap every 10 minutes by itself while I sat on the on the couch with a beer in hand :) Shot for nearly 3 hours, so not a lot of frames really.

Should have done more shots for longer, but hopefully next time. I was in a rush to get home to do it, but it took me much longer to get home than I thought. So in the end less shots were had. Drove through thunder snow, rain, and heavy snow to get home. Ahhh Colorado in the spring :)

I got to experience "Thunder Snow" just once while serving in Germany.
It was an outright blizzard. Serious heavy snow and incredible thundering
all the while. Amazing. I recalled the experience to this day. thumb.gif

Sorry, forgot to answer this part!

I finally found a use for iPhoto! Turns out, if you export a group of pics you can make them into a mini movie of sorts. If you want details let me know and I look up specifics again.

Quicktime player works best for me.

Just click import image sequence, select your pictures in the file browser, and bam! Movie!

Do you have to have Quicktime Pro for that? I tried doing that and couldn't make it work.
