I finally got around to processing all the images from an exploration trip with a local photographer of a few weeks ago. Here are some...

Well I think you are a little crazy for going into these homes but I do like #1, #4 and #6 (the green walls, the snow and the rust).

#1 is my favorite, the colors and comp clap.gif .

Nice work in this set. thumb.gif

When I get to check out your old abandoned homes pictures, my mind really digs in.
Like I'm trying to pick up vibes from the lives that were lived in those very homes.
They are long gone but the their essence seems, like perfume, to linger still.

You got that right! If only you could hear the dialogues we have with Scott (my photo buddy) when we are driving around looking for houses like this. "Look, there! Beautiful!"... and of course we're pointing at a grey, collapsed house or something like that rolleyes1.gif

    Thanks very much, Liz :)

Thank you! Yes, I think that's exactly the allure of these abandoned places...

What a neat find -- to do walls like that now would cost a fortune.

My favorite is the last one....gotta wonder how many nights were spent out on that porch taking the night away or just cooling down. Just took a 2nd look at the photo..it is a porch isn't it?

Thank you, Mary! When you say the last one you mean the one with the box of bolts? If so, that was a garage or toolshed that this house had :)

My mistake -- I was thinking of the 4th one :D

Finding a tool shed there too -- that's an added bonus thumb.gif

Haha, thank you, Wicked_Dark! Let me know when you're in the Winnipeg area and we can go abandonment-hunting together :)

I think that #4 was a porch, but it was so loaded with garbage that it was hard to tell :) I think #4 is my favourite as well!
