I personally don't feel this photo is very strong for the theme. I know this fish will eventually meet their "Ending" but they are more in a state of waiting or limbo in this photograph. Hope this helps!

It might have more impact if reduced to the essentials: One fish, the knife plus final destination (packaging).

Or, the fish hanging itself with those items in the background!
