Mobile Enhancements from yesterday are a step backwards, on iPhone

Mobile Fixes are a step backwards on the iPhone, in my opinion

1. The scrolling feature of the previous 'version' was much more user friendly, and displayed a larger image without the need to click on a thumbnail.

2. The largest size now displayed, without 'exiting' app, is smaller than it used to be because space is used for the back and forward buttons.

However thank you for fixing the behavior with regards to the back button when a larger version, outside the app, is displayed.

Personally I would have just left everything alone and fixed the back issue with the larger image display.

WHen you rotate for a horizontal image, you actually get a larger image now :) Portrait oriented images are the same size afaik, I'll doublecheck.

    Thanks for the feedback!

the back button issue was horrible, so since that has been fixed I can live with the new changes to be honest. Just like the 'scrollability' of the old app better....seems like an extra step now.

I agree! The scrollability of the old way was defo better! Can we not go back?

Also - the smugmug rease notes mention that users will be prompted for a mobile site the first time they visit but this doesn't seem to be the case - can anybody tell me why it may not be working for my site? (www.robigophotography.com) cheers in advance!

    It's blocked by your header:

I'll see if we can overcome that in a future release.

I take it back... When I click on large thumbnail a new window opens displaying the full size image. No back button available, when I close window I have to re-open mobile site and start from root again. Really annoying and frustrating to friends trying to look at large versions of photos

Sorry, it is a known bug with IUI (the javascript framework we used to build the site). They have a new "beta" version that I will be testing in the following week to see if it fixes the problem with using the browsers back button.

I'm able to use the browser's Back button in the bottom left to get back to the smaller image and continue browsing.

I wish that if a category had no public galleries in it, that it would not be shown at all in the category list (like how it works on the non-mobile site).
