It's a cloudy Saturday morning and I'm enjoying some down time browsing through the beautiful images here on the landscape forum.
Thought I'd share a couple taken during a hike two days ago, along the PJ Hoffmaster Dunes near Muskegon MI.

As part of my current study (more like goofing around) with longer exposures, this one had a 3 stop and 2 stop grad, that added to the color cast.

Wow amazing colors! For the driftwood, is that just a long exposure blurring the waves around it, or was it sitting on ice? I'd guess the former, but it looks totally surreal.

Thanks Shmoo, Yup, the longer exp just smoothed out the surf, making the sand appear much paler.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
The interplay of evening light, with the cadence of foamy waves, the bright but brief reflections – add to that the magnitude of exposure and shutter speed combinations- just made for an hour of pure fun. :D
I don’t think I’ll tire of this photography thing any time soon ;) I must’ve taken about 20 different compositions, this was one of the horizontals. I loved the pearlescent sheen on the water in the foreground.
