What is the easiest way to upload images that are already organized in say class numbers.
Do I have to sit there and upload every class individually?!? If so - I may shy away from Smug because I don't have time to upload 100 Classes individually.
I have shows this year that have 300+ classes - do you know how long it would take to upload 7000+ images if there is no easier way?!
The place that I use now does it by FTP - Smug offers nothing like that do hey?!?

1) BulkCreate the galleries in StarExplorer. You just type all the gallery names, one name per line in the bulk create gallery dialog. You pick the category/sub-category, enter all the gallery names, pick the various gallery settings you want for them all and hit Go. It will then make all the galleries for you in one step. This, all by itself is a big timesaver.
2) Select the first gallery in StarExplorer. Select the images for that first gallery in your file system. Drag/drop them into StarExplorer. Select the next gallery in StarExplorer and repeat. StarExplorer also has a feature to auto-create galleries from directory names in the file system and then just upload the images it finds in each directory. I have never used that feature so I can't describe how well it would or wouldn't work for this usage.
3) Hi Upload and walk away (I usually let it run overnight). All the images will get uploaded to all the galleries in one session. If there are any Smugmug or network hiccups during the upload, StarExplorer will automatically retry the affected images. If it really can't get them uploaded, it will leave them in the queue as an indication that they didn't upload and waiting for you to simply try again.
