"Don't get too close!" that's what my wife said, but I remember hearing some advice - if your pictures aren't good you weren't close enough...

Perhaps I should listen to my wife more....

Thanx, I'm glad to hear that - it was worth it after all!

It's crazy how I still managed to get that shot even though my gear was getting a soaking- a fear reflex perhaps?

After a couple of days in the airing cupboard, the camera, lens and flashgun are fine,

here was the frame before, as my wife was saying "He can turn the shower head towards you at any time..."
REALLY cool shot! Love it! :Dthumb.gif

Magnificent shot, would almost say that it's worth getting soaked.

That is a fantastic shot! Next time, put an oven bag over the camera, tape it to the lens. There will be a next time, right? :D

If I post it, please tell me how to make it better. My fragile ego can take it.

Thanks for the comments, I thought this shot was just quirky but now it's more interesting,

I have tried these bath shots before, he was less energetic and independant - this is one from 9 months ago, this wasn't a risky shot.

But the oven bag might be a good tip, I'll definitely give it a try!
    thanks again,
    Johnny

Those are great! Love the first one. You are much braver than I, though, for getting your gear so close to the action. thumb.gif

"He's actually a darling and his curiosity is limitless" (I have to say that for legal reasons!)

He has helped hone my photo technique massively though, to be able to catch that fleeting expression, with a decent background, good lighting, good composition, effective angle it isn't easy but the results are worth it.

Sometimes I was doing 3000 pix a month, loads of misses of course, but I was much happier with the hits,

    thanx again 4 yr C&Cthumb.gif
