Hey all,

Made a long and tiring trip to the wildflower country in CA, this weekend. It was really amazing to see so many flowers covering the hills. Here are some shots that I liked. Unfortunately, the lighting is flat as I just did not have time to wait until the magic light set in. Thanks for looking.

Nice job, Nik! Eye-watering colors and I love the different focal lengths you used to illustrate the scene. thumb.gif

Think these blooms will stick around for a couple of weeks?

Jello! Yeah I think they should be around. Are you planning on heading that way? If you do, definitely hit the Poppy Reserve. :D

I really like the poppy shots and the last goldfield shot. I'm hoping the poppy reserve will be going good over the next couple weeks.

These are beautiful! The landscape shot is incredible - seeing all those blooms on the hillsides. I agree with Schmoo and the dof. My eyes just naturally follow.

Nice series! I also like the different focal lengths and perspectives you used--they create a nice variety. Hope you'll get a chance to shoot some more and share those also.

Great time for flowers here in South Texas also--some are saying it's the best wildflower season in many years!
