karate tournament

I just shot my first karate tournament this afternoon...it was also my first time shooting anything in a gymnasium. It was everything I expected and worse! I thought I'd start at ISO 1600, but 3200 ended up being the minimum, with several at 4000. :wxwax I'm happy with some of the results, regardless of noise in the images. I learned just how difficult it is to use AI Servo on my 7D (ending up with many clear, focused shots of the far gym wall at times! haha).

Here are a few pics from the forms competition...C&C welcome. I think my biggest error is framing. I cut off too many hands and feet at times during the sparring events. I ended up using my 70-200mm much of the time, which was a bit too long for where I was sitting.

Thanks for looking!

Canon 7D and some stuff that sticks on the end of it.

Nice start, I have been wanting to shoot one of these. My only suggestion is to crop in tighter.

#2 is nice but I'd say crop it tighter.
