Owner save - what's the real deal?

No matter where I try to do owner save the download is SUPER MEGA slow and MOST of the time it doesn't download. Home, work, neighbor's. Don't matter.

What's going on smugmug? I've been having this issue for months now.

    I used owner save just now and the file downloaded instantly.

    Something else to note is that the download starts out really fast. At like 225KB per second. Then the speed starts to go down. Seen it go all the way down to 1KB per second then at that point I just give up. I have tried cancelling and re-try and still doesn't work.

    Downloaded instantly. Perhaps you have addon software blocking downloads? Maybe anti-virus software interfering?

    I figured it out. I am connecting to the internet via a VPN. That is what is causing it to be so slow. Once I disconnected the VPN I was able to download with no problem. Apologies for wasting your time.
