Nice capture and good that you didn't pass by twice. The leaf trapped in the ice really tells a story of your area. It might be nice if you could draw just a bit more detail out of the leaf, but that's just my preference, it's your image, your vision

Hey, thanks for the comment. It's actually water, not ice...which I guess is really water, too, but this is a liquid puddle. I de-clarified this image purposefully to bring up a silky sort of dreamy quality. The detail is there, just obscured because it felt like the right thing for this image.

I think this works really well. The shadow in the top left looks like a shadow of the leaf. The viens on the ground add texture.

hey thanks guys. I just got home and found a huge bullfrog just about where this leaf is. He shouldn't be out at night, crazy frog. it's raining like mad though and warm so it's inevitable this time of year. Good thing I was driving slow, I woulda smooshed him.
