It really is the coolest lens that I ever bought. It always always creates that OH WOW effect on your viewers. With de-fish software you don't need to worry about the edges as much. A word of caution however, the CA is terrible. See my notes on the lens in the first link.

I have all three of these lenses and they are all great. What you would want to consider is low light photography or not for your aperture. I do events and need the 2.8 of the Canon so I use the Sigma less but that is great for Architectural stuff when I have travelled with it. I find the Canon a bit more useful. The fish is just for fun. I'd even consider the wider fish since I use it so rarely and it's considered a toy for me.

If you want to get something really wide, then the 8mm from Sigma is always fun.
Thanks for the feedback everyone.

The EF15mm Fisheye is a huge amount of fun David. Used horizontally its possible to stitch several shots together.
Here's some samples taken with my 5D.
Here's a 3 shot horizontal stitch in CS3.

There are several adapters available too.

The 16-35mm f/2.8 II is good and there's a 14mm prime too.
Wow, the price of the 14mm is crazy. The 15mm fish eye is great price though at only $600.
