To me, #3 conveys the concentration of someone beginning to play the piano more than the others, with perhaps #2 being next strongest.

They're all good pics, but #3 is the strongest on-theme to methumb.gif

    Nice shots JAG.
For me #2 then #3. I think they both show concentration but I personally prefer seeing more of the face.

Oooh! I like #5! Brings back fond memories of learning to play piano. iloveyou.gif I lke the focus on her fingers in #5 and the slight smile. Personally, I like closely cropped photos...which is why 5 probably appeals to me. Very cool interpretation of the theme. Really like this!!!

For me, #5, with #2 a close second.

I like #5 because the position of the hands on the keys tells the story so well. There is enough of her face to communicate concentration. The close crop works really well here.

Great idea. Any of these would be a contender (except maybe #1 which is a little too static in framing and content).

Thank you all for your input. I think I will go with #2. #3 has too many shadows across her eyes and #2 seems to be more engaging. Although #5 has an interesting crop, shadows and angles, I am just not crazy about the OOF face.

#2 and #3, but I favor #3 a little more, mostly from the thematic standpoint. The child's focus and interaction with the piano seems most keen here, and the finger positions screams out beginning piano ... truly very cute and brings back memories for those of us taking lessons as a kid.

I'm far from being an expert, but I like your original better.

    - Why did you need to add that light on the bottom of the entry photo? headscratch.gif

I am going with #2 it seems to be more expressive towards discovery, definitely beginning piano looking at hands instead of the music

Are you refering to my signature in the corner? I didn't add any light to it. I did lighten the picture some as it looked so muddy on my screen. Although I must say I have not been happy with my new monitor. I have calibrated it a dozen times and I feel that I am still not seeing what I should. But everything is printing fine.ne_nau.gif

yes that light is in the original...its just that when I lightened the image I lost the detail of the keys. Easily fixed now....just that I am having problems uploading images to any smug gallery at present and will not be able to replace the image at this time. Thanks for pointing it out as looking at this again today I see what you are refering too.thumb.gif
