Just returned from 3 nights in Furnace Creek Death Valley. Since I had never been there before, I shot the most accessible and well known points of interest. Hope you enjoy.

    Bravo, Dan!! clap.gifclap.gif

Excellent set! I'm really digging the Mesquite Dunes shot and the ZP at Sunrise shots, but they're all nicely done.

Nice shot at Zabriskie and the dunes.

Were the dive bombing swallows around at Dante's View?

Awesome, Dan! Whether or not these are popular and accessible places, I never get tired of seeing the scenery there. You've got the view and the light working all in your favor. thumb.gif

Great shots, Dan!!! thumb.gifthumb For your first DV, you got some great compositions. clap.gif That sunrise at Zabriske is especially cool. Next time, do try to smooth the footprints out at the dunes though. :D It's a smoking shot otherwise.

Glad to see you had a great trip.

Very nice set of images! My favorites are the one of Zebriskie Point and The Mesquite Dunes. I like the first of the two Dante's view images but perhaps it could be warmed up a little.

    Really nice work Dan
I was thinking about going there last week but went the other way around NV after leaving Las Vegas. Looks like the wildflowers were not quite there yet.
Last April the wind was brutal at Zabriskie point, and everywhere else for that matter. The dunes were out of the question.

Hey thanks Joel. Sorry you couldn't make the trip, but I completely understand, after having been there, how you would want to go to some new more remote and exotic places.:D

    Hi Dan,

I just returned from Death Valley and will be processing the images in a little bit. Actually i will probably be culling through them for months. :D

I like the Zabriskie Point image. The morning we were there is was cloudy so the light wasn't very good. I also like the dune shot.

Wlber has a thread in the journey section, but it's strictly from his viewpoint.

Consider Darwin Falls next time you're out there. DV is habit forming

I almost went there Rags, but someone told me I would have to scale a wall to get to the second falls, and so I opted out.
