Game On -- Round Two
Tonight I bid Raptor. Sparrow Hawk to be exact eating a Lizard to be precise
Sorry for the lousy perch, guess I'll have to train him to sit on something more natural :lol4
He settles for a snack

He spies me but decides to keep munching

Then he decides he's had enough of me and gives one of those you buggin me looks

On this last shot I bumped ISO to hold a high shutter speed, figuring he was ready to take flight I was right but the Airport Cop that wanted to talk to me had other ideas $%^&*@# so no BIF tonight :wxwax :rolleyes

That is a purdy bird..also. I have only seen turkey vultures in my neighborhood. I don't have a large enough lens to do them justice (yet). The little itty bitty 200mm doesn't cut it for them buzzzzzzzzzzards.
Cheers

What did the Airport cop say to you? I've wondered how they react to long glass in their neighborhood.

thanks PF
Yeah love my Machine Gun and the glass in front
Cop was very polite but this is the second time of three that I've been questioned about my business there. this cop even said that they are very aware of people showing extra interest in this area, but interestingly he did not make any specific comment about camera gear or photography.
His exact words were, "We just want to make sure your not trying to blow up anything." I asked him if there was any chance of me getting permission to get inside the fenced area's (where the raptors actually live). He said not a snowballs, he also said that he (cops) can't even get in there!!

We'll let this kind of behavior slip this time. I don't know my birds either.
Just remember.... a Smith & Wesson ALWAYS beats a full house.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
See here's the proof
