Death Valley
My name is Wilber and I wanted to share with you some of the high lights of a recent photography trip to death Valley with my friends Dave and Sam.
When we arrived at the Ballrat resort the wind had kicked up to 40 mph, and storm clouds were rolling in. Rock, our host, said we were in luck because the three room cabin was available. This meant we would be dry for the evening.
Most important to me ( I didn't really worry about being wet) was a door between me and old Pot Licker, Rock's dog, that dog was giving me the eye. I am sure he would have liked to have me for dinner!
It was very dark by the time we had arrived so we didn't gat a real good look at our cabin that night. All we saw was..........................

Here I am relaxing at Eureka Dunes.
I took a few photos with Dave's camera and when we returned he was a bragging about what a great photo he had. Don't tell him, I actually took the photo, it would break his little heart.

Great pics, Sam. Looks like you boys are having a fun trip. I hadn't heard of Ballarat before. I'll have to add that to my list. Very cool. Wikipedia says there are two full-time residents there. Did you see them?
Glad to see you finally made it out to the race track as well. Those rocks look like they've been busy.
Have fun on your travels, and say hi to Dave for me.

I just saw your story about your trip to Death Valley. I've been there too, but I didn't post my story here in dgrin. I travel with Denise, and I help write her journals though, so maybe I should follow your excellent example. Did you know that Sam met Denise in Death Valley - oh, I think it was a couple of years ago now! She had a SmugMug strap on her camera...
You tell a wonderful story! Does Sam share his camera with you?
Here's a photo of me standing on the funny painted rocks along the shore in Acadia National Park -

Glad to meet you, but I gota tell ya iof you want to travel with me in the future you need to lean not to pee all over the place.
Wilber
I wouldn't do that... I'm a people dog, I wouldn't consider peeing all over the place. You don't do that, do you?

Although I did have to make certain adjustments on my trip to Death Valley, what with the lack of lakes and streams. :cry
