This is a very nice photo:

... but your new ones are clearly on the theme. I personally don't get too much sense of beginning or ending from your current entry...headscratch.gif

The rock art idea was started when in Las Vegas there was a news story about some idiot shooting paintballs at petroglyphs along the Colorado River. Since it was some of the first (beginning) art or recorded history in North America that is where the beginning came from for me. I also had a trip planned to the Valley of Fire area that is full of rock art.

But I have the thought on it, but that is what is giving me a hard time. Does it show beginning or ending to others.

Lands end has several themes in it. ending of land, ending of day and maybe even ending of the walk by the guy on the beach, end of storm.

Petroglyphs, beginning conversation, original internet, beginning of art.
But it is hard to show that in a still. Maybe if I had some one dressed in aboriginal clothing banging(simulated) on the rocks

Like many other having a hard time with the theme conveyence.

Well,... if is was more of a frontal view of the petrogliphs and if it was called "beginning of art"
or "beginning of visual communication", it was different.

These ones are good, but I think the petroglyphs are better. For me, good on the theme and unusual. Lands End is something that a lot of us can get.

My first posting was of different angles straight on and the one entered which did seem a bit more dramatic with added texture of the wind blown rock. I was handicapped by not having a wide angle zoom, my 17-55mm was broken at the start of the trip

The Land End and shore shots do not do it for me. They might be a little more directly relevant to the theme, but your current petroglyph entry has the best photographic appeal. And to repeat others, it is unusual. I think you need a better title though. It shows up as "Adobe Illustrator Beta Version I," which is hilarious given the backstory, but maybe lost to those of us without it or not knowing your viewpoint. I like the "Beginning of Art," but had initially thought of it more as representing the ending of a civilization ... a legacy of the Anasazi.

I had thought about at the beginning as the First internet. Or Early Browser Page. But it was definitely some of the first graphic art that survived.
ANother thought was Rock of Ages or You better write that down.
Even nice Map but it is hard to fold.
