Limpkins are now nesting at the Viera Wetlands

This nest is just left of the nesting Great Blue Herons about 30' from the shore. It's in the wide open with no protection from predators, so it may not survive. I can see at least two eggs in the nest.

    I have scoped out that nest. Hopefully we will have some limpkin chicks soon.
