Bodybuilder shoot..

I'll be doing a favor for a friend - his brother is a bodybuilder, and needs some creative shots done..

Anyone done that before?
What should I look out for?

I will be doing the shoot at a MMA gym.. no studio and backdrops for me. :(

I was planning on using the 17-50 2.8 to get some detail shots, and mount a flash high up, and point downward, so the light would create some harsh shadows on muscles?

Any tips?

thanks in advance.

Just took this about 2 weeks ago at the back stage and realised their gritty bodies suited more to B/W. Their bodies are toned to brownish and almost limited to one colour and i don't find it attractive at all if taken in colour. Anyway the pic shown here was converted from colour.

I prefer to take closer (where I have a chance at the back stage) showing their curves. Have fun.
